Disaster Plan
The Northern Territory Government recognises the inevitable nature of emergencies and disasters and their social, economic and enviromental consequences in all areas on the Northern Territory.
Accordingly, it has provided for the establishment of the Northern Territory Counter Disaster Organisation under the provisions of the Northern Territory Disaster Act.
The Tennant Creek disaster plan details specific emergency preparedness, response and recovery arrangements developed by the Local Counter Disaster Planning Committee and approved by the Northern Territory Counter Disaster Council in accordance with the provisions of the Disaster Act.
