Walking Trail & Cycle Path

There is a walking trail and a cycle path to the Mary Ann Dam.

 Birds

Many waterbirds use the Dam as a rest stop while migrating to other areas within Australia, or even other countries. There are four migratory species that may use the Dam as a stopover: Painted Snipe, Little Curlew, Oriental Pratincole, and the Oriental Plover.

Other birds that can be seen around the dam are:

  • Rainbow Bee-eater
  • Spinifex Pigeon
  • Australian Black Duck
  • Pelican
  • Spoonbill
  • Great Egret
  • Cormorant
