Purkiss Reserve

Purkiss Reserve is the main sporting complex in Tennant Creek.

It features a large grassed oval, baseball diamond, softball area, tennis courts, netball and basketball courts. There is a skatepark, Sport and Recreation Cention and the Swimming Centre.

Tennant Creek Town Council has budgeted to spend close to half a million dollars to upgrade Purkiss Reserve by June 30 2008 as the first stage of a major upgrade to the facility.

For mobile home users there is a effluent disposal point located on the north western corner of the Reserve for your convenience.
