Tennant Creek Library Service is provided by Tennant Creek Town Council with assitance from the Northern Territory Government.
The primary objective of Council's library service is to provide all residents with the opportunity to:
- Keep abreast of progress in all walks of life
- Enjoy their leisure time and develop their personal and creative interests and abilities
- Pursue continuing self-education throughout life
The Tennant Creek Public Library provides a reference, information and referral service which is freely available to all library patrons and which aims to satisfy all reasonable requests for information.
The Tennant Creek Public Library is located on Peko Road near the Council Chambers.

To join the the Library you must provide formal proof of local residential address i.e a drivers licence or a Invoice. There is no fee's or charges.
Visitors who wish to borrow from the catalogued collection and are unable may apply for a vistors card. There is a $20 deposit required. Please call in and see the Librarian.
